Feed Our Future

No child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Yet right here in our community, an estimated 1,200 children face food insecurity—a challenge that can impact their ability to learn, grow, and simply be kids.

Feed Our Future supports these children by providing weekly bags of nutritious, kid-friendly food to help carry them through the weekends when school meals aren’t available.

Each bag contains 10 easy-to-prepare or ready-to-eat items, thoughtfully selected to fuel young bodies and minds.

School staff—teachers, counselors, and principals—identify students in need based on set criteria. Grow It Forward then purchases food, and volunteers pack and prepare bags to match the number of students served.

Last year we served over 400 children. That adds up to 144,000 items of food each school year—or 14,400 of each unique item.

Finally, dedicated community volunteers deliver the food to schools, ensuring every participating child receives their bag before the weekend begins.
